    With a typhoon approaching, we began our climb up Mt. Miyanoura, keeping safety as our top priority and keeping the option to turn back in mind. Although we faced strong winds, there were views we could only experience because of these weather conditions, making it a very satisfying hike. The guide stayed by our side even during the toughest moments, and the warm miso soup we were served at the summit truly warmed our hearts. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had an answer for every question we asked. He was truly a master of Yakushima and felt very reassuring. Thanks to him, it turned into an unforgettable hike.     We’re a couple—my husband is in his 60s, and I’m in my 50s. I was worried about my husband’s stamina, so I booked a private tour. Although he had been working out at the gym, right after we started hiking, his steps seemed unsteady. So, after consulting with the guide, my husband went as far as the Wilson Tree and then turned back, taking his time descending while strolling along the river and other areas. Meanwhile, I, the wife, mentioned that I wanted to go as far as the Jomon Sugi, so I was immediately allowed to join a group tour organized by the same company on the spot, and I made it safely to the Jomon Sugi. Everyone in the group was so nice, and it turned into a wonderful memory. I am truly grateful for their flexible and adaptable response to our situation. The guide was also very knowledgeable and experienced, and it was a real pleasure to talk with him. Thank you so much!!

    I’d always dreamed of seeing the Jomon Sugi, and the sense of accomplishment when I finally reached it on my own two feet was incredible. Thanks to our professional guide, I was able to hike with peace of mind. The snack breaks along the way were a nice change of pace and really helped me conserve my energy. While the trail had some rugged sections, it was more than worth it.

    Booking this tour was definitely the right choice. I was very impressed with the pre-tour preparations, such as the checklist of items to bring.     I had signed up for a trek to Shiratani Unsuikyo, but since the trail was closed, we changed our plans and were guided from the Western Forest Road in the World Heritage area toward the coast. I saw so many adorable Yakushima macaques and Yakushima deer, as well as banyan trees that amazed me with their remarkable growth history—not to mention the rivers, waterfalls, rocks, and the ocean… It was a day filled with wonder and healing, as I was deeply moved by the splendor of this World Heritage site, which far exceeded my expectations. ✨ Our guide, Yakusachi-san, was very knowledgeable about Yakushima and taught us so much about the various sights we encountered. I truly feel that I wouldn’t have experienced this sense of wonder if I hadn’t hired a guide. I’m so grateful! He also took plenty of photos and videos at just the right moments, and it made me realize once again just how amazing photos taken surrounded by nature really are♪ It’s become such a wonderful memory, and I’ve fallen in love with Yakushima!!
