What is "Taichudake"?

Taichudake is located in the central part of Yakushima Island.A famous peak at 1,497 meters above sea levelJomon cedar area. The trail branches off from the middle of the trail leading to the Jomon cedar area and heads for the summit.

This varied course passes through moss-covered forests and giant trees, and ends with a climb up a granite rocky slope. Once at the summit, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the mountains of Okudake as well as the symbolic "Tenbashiraishi" stone.
