I’d always dreamed of seeing the Jomon Sugi, and the sense of accomplishment when I finally reached it on my own two feet was incredible. Thanks to our professional guide, I was able to hike with peace of mind. The snack breaks along the way were a nice change of pace and really helped me conserve my energy. While the trail had some rugged sections, it was more than worth it.

Even though I was traveling alone, I was able to enjoy myself without any reservations. The certified guide was very friendly and chatted with me, so I never felt lonely and was able to fully immerse myself in the journey to the Jomon Sugi. I’m usually nervous about long treks when traveling alone, but thanks to the guide’s explanations along the way and the delicious snacks, it was the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and feel completely refreshed.

I participated in a Jomon Sugi trekking tour on Yakushima. Since it was a completely private tour, the guide provided very thorough explanations, and I was able to learn a great deal about the forest ecosystem. Although it was a long hike, I’m grateful that the guide adjusted the pace to match my fitness level. The transportation arrangements were also seamless, and it turned out to be a very fulfilling day.

I think it offers good value for the price. I really appreciate that it’s a private tour, allowing us to hike to the Jomon Sugi at our own pace, and that transportation to and from the site is included. The guide was also very knowledgeable. However, if I had to mention one thing, since it’s a long hike, I think everyone should make sure to bring well-worn hiking shoes and rain gear. Overall, I’m satisfied with the support provided.

The sight of the Jomon Sugi, with its overwhelming presence, truly cleansed my soul. The transportation to and from the site was also comfortable and pleasant. .

My wife and I took part in this tour. Being able to see the heart-shaped Wilson tree together made for a very romantic and wonderful memory. The tour included bus transportation to the Arakawa trailhead, which saved us the trouble of making our own arrangements—it was a huge help. Surrounded by the tranquility of the forest and the crisp, clear air, we were able to spend some relaxing time together.
