550代Month of posting: 2025/07We were a little worried about the weather, but the whole family enjoyed the 3-hour trek. I was a little worried that 10,000 yen per person would be too expensive, but we didn't have to worry about getting lost because we had a guide, who talked about the history of Yakushima, nature, and Yakusugi cedars along the way. It was a stress-free walk. We were also served with homemade raisin bread and coffee in the mountain. I am very glad that we were able to walk without a guide, because many people walking without a guide would have looked worried and uneasy.

550代Month of posting: 2024/11I had always wanted to visit the Jomon Cedars someday. I managed to persuade my husband, who is not confident in his physical strength (he has a weak heart), to let me choose a private tour that said 75-year-olds could participate. At first I had asked for a group tour, but he was very strict about it, so I decided to go for the private tour. I thought the private tour was better than the group tour. I would recommend it because you can go at your own pace. We were amateur trekkers with no equipment at all, so we had to prepare our equipment first. From that point on, our guide gave us advice and prepared us. We rented only a stock and a headlamp. We left early for the hotel first thing in the morning at 4am. It was dark and raining, so we started with umbrellas. The long trolley path was nice, though, Now the mountain road! But when we got to the mountain road, my husband's pace started to slow down. My husband's pace started to slow down. However, he was a little more energized by the sights we saw at points of interest (he seemed to be powered by nature) and we were able to make progress little by little. We were able to go on little by little. The guide talked about Yakushima, the mountains, and many other things the whole time we were there, We were able to go on without getting bored or mentally broken. We also discussed the possibility of giving up if things didn't work out, We had talked about giving up if things didn't work out, but we made it to the Jomon cedars without incident, We are very happy that we made it to the Jomon Cedars without incident. Even from a distance, the Jomon cedars looked fantastic. It did not betray my imagination. I was healed by the warm miso soup we had for lunch after the climb. On the way back, as expected, my legs were tired too, and I slipped a few times. I slipped a few times in the trees, but the guide recommended Thanks to the Montbell trekking shoes But I was able to stop thanks to the Montbell trekking shoes recommended by the guide. Shoes are important. I was not going at a fast pace, He showed us some mysterious places, They took a break and made us hot coffee, We were able to enjoy the Jomon cedar course as much as we wanted to while taking our time to see the scenery on the way back. Next time, I would like to try Shiratani-unsui Gorge with more stamina. Thank you to our guide, Mr. Mukae. Thank you very much. It was a wonderful wedding anniversary.

560代Posted in month: 2024/09We were a couple in our mid-60s, and we had been wondering about the Jomon Cedars tour until the very last minute. We were not as physically fit as other people, not always familiar with mountain climbing, and with back and knee pain, could we make it to the cedars and back? When I called the group and asked for advice, I was told that they would guide us at our own pace, so I decided to go. We left early in the morning and rented headlights and poles for the climb in the rain. The tour guide stopped at the sights along the way and explained them to us in detail, so we never got bored on the long road. After nearly five hours, we arrived at the fantastic and breathtaking Jomon cedars, and were thrilled to finally see them. The walk back down the mountain was slippery and the descent felt really long, but our guide made us warm miso soup on the way down, and we were able to relax both physically and mentally. When we somehow made it back to the trailhead, all I could say was thank you to our guide, Shichisato-san, who led us carefully all the way to the end. I am truly glad that I participated in this tour.
