I participated with my elementary school-aged child. It was our first time snorkeling, so we were a little nervous and anxious at first, but thanks to the instructor’s support, we were able to enjoy it all the way through. Thank you so much (^^)
Just like last year, we specifically requested this female guide. Since she fully understands our preferences and physical abilities, we were once again completely satisfied with the wonderful route she guided us on, which avoided the crowds. The attentive care that comes with a private tour and the taste of hot coffee enjoyed deep in the forest are simply the best, no matter how many times we experience them. We’ll definitely request her again next time.
I went on this tour with my boyfriend! We went into the water and found a sea turtle in the blink of an eye—we were both so moved♪ They even gave us photos and videos for free, so it makes for a great keepsake. The only thing is, the wetsuit felt a little tight on me—if that had fit just right, it would have been perfect. Still, it was an amazing memory!
Four of us in our 60s took on the challenge! The rock climbing was tougher than we expected, so unfortunately we weren’t able to make it all the way to Taiko Rock. However, our guide adjusted to our pace, provided explanations along the way, and even stopped to let us take photos. It was really easy to understand when he drew pictures to explain things. I was so happy to have the clear soup for lunch. The many photos the guide took for us are treasures. Although it was a day of on-and-off rain due to the typhoon, we were completely satisfied with our trip to Shiratani Unsuikyo.
Since we had the guide all to ourselves and could explore at our own pace, the tour offered excellent value for the price. The guide’s thoughtful attention to detail—typical of a female guide—was also very pleasant. She efficiently took us to all the must-see spots on Yakushima, though it was a shame that the weather turned a bit on the day of the tour and the views were a bit hazy. I think this is a tour where satisfaction would be even higher if the weather cooperated.
