This is an experience diving tour to meet sea turtles and observe nature!

<About the use of boats
Basically, beach entry is used.

*An additional fee of 2,000 yen (tax included) per person per dive will be charged for the boat fee. (Payment must be made locally).

precautions

Boat use is limited to experienced divers, and beach entry is recommended for beginners; for a two-dive course, the first dive should ideally be on the beach and the second on the boat. The Special 1-Dive Course, which is designed to encounter sea turtles, is limited to beach entry.

9:00	Into the sea! ➡︎ Once you have put on your wetsuit and equipment,Walk to the ocean. It is only a minute or two walk from the car to the ocean.
9:10	First, practice breathing in shallow water. ➡︎ Start with breathing and mask clearing practice in shallow water where you can reach your feet.
9:15	Let's enjoy the sea of Yakushima! ➡︎ We will do our best to help you enjoy the underwater world for the first time!(approximately 50-60 minutes)
10:20	Shower & change clothes ➡︎ is equipped with shower rooms and changing rooms so you can get ready comfortably.

After the dive

Due to diving medicine, you are not allowed to board airplanes or travel (mountain climbing) to an area of 500m or more within 12 hours after completing the diving experience.

Please note that we cannot accept those who will be flying home or have plans to climb a mountain on the day of arrival. If you are returning on the same day, there is no problem if you are using a ferry or high-speed boat, and conversely, you can dive on the day of arrival.

Age Verification

*Persons under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

*If you are under 20 years old, a parent or guardian's signature is required when filling out the application form.
(We will send you the application form in PDF format after you make a reservation so you can have it signed before you come to the island.)

*If you are 60 years of age or older, regardless of your health status, you will be asked to work on the Diver Medical/Participant Check Sheet and in some cases you may be asked to bring a doctor's note.

This is a large parking lot for the Ichiminato Beach, located just north of Yakushima.
If sea conditions are not a problem, activities will be held at Motoura Beach on the east side of the parking lot instead of at the beach, so please meet at the east side of the parking lot.
For those coming by bus, please be assured that the start and end times will be adjusted to the bus schedule.

Frequently asked questions about this plan

Q. Can I participate by myself?

It is possible. Many participants come alone!

Q. Is there a place to change clothes?

Yes, there is. However, it would be smoother if you wear your swimsuit under your clothes in advance for pick-up and assembly.

Q. I can't swim.

Yes, we can provide a life jacket for those who are concerned about their safety. You will be wearing a very buoyant wetsuit and we can provide life jackets if you are concerned. In other words, it is like wearing a floatation ring, so you can participate without any problems at all.

Q. Can I touch sea turtles?

Sea turtles come to the surface to catch their breath. You can get close enough to touch them at that time, but please do not touch the sea turtles. I don't want you to touch any wild animals.

Q. Can I do it while wearing glasses?

Because masks are worn, glasses are not acceptable. If you have poor eyesight, we recommend wearing soft contact lenses if possible.

Q. I get seasick easily.

Entry is made from the beach, not by boat. The surface of the water is a bit bumpy, so there is a possibility that those who get easily intoxicated may experience wave sickness. In that case, please be assured that we will take you to a place where you can get to your feet quickly!
