If a reservation is cancelled by the customer after it has been confirmed, the following cancellation fees will apply

*However, no cancellation fee will be charged if the tour is deemed impossible by the guide in charge due to adverse weather conditions such as typhoons.

*Please inform us in advance at the time of application if you have a medical history that should be noted, if you have undergone major surgery in the past, or if you have a physical disability. Cardiovascular disease patients require a doctor's consent. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate for safety reasons.

*The tour may be cancelled, the course may be changed, or the tour time may be shortened at the discretion of the guide due to inclement weather on the day of the tour. If the tour is cancelled before departure on the day of the tour, a full refund will be given, but if the course is changed after departure, the tour fee will not be refunded.

*In the event that we determine that the tour cannot be conducted safely due to a guest's physical condition, physical fitness, or inadequate clothing or equipment, or that the tour would be detrimental to other guests, we may ask the guest to withdraw from the tour, even on the day of the tour. In such cases, the tour fee will not be refunded. (Please be especially careful with your trekking equipment.)

Q. I don't have trekking equipment...

We do not provide rentals, but you are advised to prepare your trekking equipment the day before at a rental store near your lodgings.

Trekking shoes, rainwear, sack, sack cover, and light (necessary for tours starting early in the morning, etc.)

Q. Do I need to bring my own lunch?

Since this is a half-day tour, breakfast is not required as we will have breakfast at the lodge and descend the mountain around lunch time.

Q. Can you take me to the port or airport after the tour?

Don't worry. We will take you to the port or airport in time for your return.
Please check out of your hotel when you are picked up in the morning and leave your luggage in the guide's car.

We can offer a half-day tour of Shiratani-Unsui Gorge in the afternoon for a group of two people.

Q. How long can I make a reservation?

It would be helpful if you could contact us at least 2 days in advance, as pick-up and drop-off times will be finalized 2 nights before the event.

Q. How old do I have to be to participate in this tour?

You must be at least 6 years old (elementary school age and up) to participate.

Q. What is the difference between the two?I would like to go through the Bongo Cedar Course (old virgin forest course)...

Unfortunately, the half-day tour cannot go through the Bongyo Cedar Trail (formerly known as the Wilderness Trail). (It takes 2 hours more than the normal half-day tour of Shiratani.)

Easy to get around with a shuttle service. Although the course was short, the highlights of Shiratani-Unsui Gorge were well covered and the level of satisfaction was high. I am a beginner in trekking, but I really enjoyed it. The guide gave good explanations of each spot, and the breaks were moderate. It took about 4 hours from the entrance of Shiratani-unsui Gorge to Mononoke Moss, and then back to the exit. It was a pleasant half-day tour in good weather and climate. Our family trekking tour in Yakushima was a very valuable experience for us. The half-day trekking tour to Shiratani-unsui Gorge was an unforgettable experience for our family. Even though we were not particularly confident in our physical strength, we were able to enjoy the walk to the Mononoke Forest without any difficulty thanks to the careful support of our guide. The fantastic beauty of the moss forest and the feeling of stepping into the world of the movie Princess Mononoke were very special. Since the tour includes pick-up and drop-off and can be joined in the morning, I felt that this was the best plan to efficiently enjoy the nature of Yakushima.
