To the Jomon Cedars.The 22-km round-trip walk takes about 8 to 10 hours, and the Shiratani-unsui Gorge walk takes about 3 to 4 hours. Although the trail is well maintained with stairways and trolley paths, it is difficult to walk on unfamiliar paths for long periods of time.
The Jomon Cedars in particular are a serious trek, but the sense of accomplishment when you reach them is great, and the greatness of the Jomon Cedars will relieve your fatigue!

》 Regarding breakfast and lunch
We cannot prepare boxed lunches. We also do not order box lunches on behalf of our customers.
There is not a single convenience store on Yakushima, so please make sure to prepare your own food either by ordering it in advance from your accommodation or by getting it yourself at a supermarket the day before.
Customers ordering from a bento shop should make their own reservations at "Asahi Bento; 0997-46-4007; reservations can be made until 9:00 p.m. the day before the tour. Other bento shops are not on the way, so the guide will be with you on the way to and from the shops.You cannot stop by.(Please order at the same time as the pick-up time! (Please order your lunch box pick-up time at the same time as the pick-up time. Pick-up and drop-off times will be provided 2 days prior to the tour.)
*Bento lunches for breakfast and lunch are required for the Jomon-sugi tour on Day 1, and for the Shiratani-unsuikyo tour on Day 2.

Shuttle Bus Traffic Regulations
From 3/01 to 11/30, shuttle bus traffic will be restricted on the way to the trailhead for Jomon Cedars in order to reduce vehicle exhaust emissions so that guests and guides will not burden the nature of Yakushima as much as possible.
Those who participate in the Jomon Cedar trekking tour during this period should bring their ownShuttle Bus Ticketis required.
You can purchase them at the bus stop on the day of the tour, but it will be easier if you purchase them in advance at your hotel, trekking rental store, or tourist association before the tour.
Cancellation fee for this plan 》
If a reservation is cancelled by the customer after it has been confirmed, the following cancellation fees will apply
～Up to 6:00 p.m. 4 days prior to the event: None
After 6:00 p.m. 4 days prior to the event until 6:00 p.m. 2 days prior to the event: 50% of all fees
After 6:00 p.m. 2 days prior to the event to the day of the event: 100% of the full price*However, no cancellation fee will be charged if the tour is deemed impossible by the guide in charge due to adverse weather conditions such as typhoons.

*Please inform us in advance at the time of application if you have a medical history that should be noted, if you have undergone major surgery in the past, or if you have a physical disability. Cardiovascular disease patients require a doctor's consent. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate for safety reasons.
*The tour may be cancelled, the course may be changed, or the tour time may be shortened at the discretion of the guide due to inclement weather on the day of the tour. If the tour is cancelled before departure on the day of the tour, a full refund will be given, but if the course is changed after departure, the tour fee will not be refunded.
*In the event that we determine that the tour cannot be conducted safely due to a guest's physical condition, physical fitness, or inadequate clothing or equipment, or that the tour would be detrimental to other guests, we may ask the guest to withdraw from the tour, even on the day of the tour. In such cases, the tour fee will not be refunded. (Please be especially careful with your trekking equipment.)

Q. How old do I have to be to join a Jomon Cedar tour?
Participants must be at least 10 years old (upper elementary school age) to participate.

The guide was very detailed, and we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful nature of Yakushima. Shiratani-unsui Gorge was also impressive with its fantastic atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience!
