    As this is the standard route of Shiratani-unsui Gorge, there are many highlights, and even a half-day tour was satisfying enough. The moss and clear streams along the way were so beautiful that I couldn't stop taking pictures. It was also helpful that transportation was included so we did not have to worry about moving around.

    I liked the fact that it was not a long hike, but rather an opportunity to take the time to enjoy the atmosphere of the forest. I was impressed by the many explanations about the footpaths and plants, and the fact that we could learn while walking. I enjoyed it even though it was my first time in Yakushima.
