If you're visiting Yakushima in the summer, I definitely recommend canyoning! The cold water feels so refreshing, and I had a blast enjoying the great outdoors to the fullest☆ Since we had the place all to ourselves, we went wild without worrying about anyone else (lol). I don’t usually get much exercise, so I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make it all the way, but it turned out to be fine even for beginners. The included transportation made getting around so much easier—it was a huge help! The light filtering through the trees was absolutely beautiful, and I was able to relax and enjoy the scenery. I was a little worried about whether my kids would be able to enjoy it too, but thanks to the guide’s kind support, we made it all the way through without a hitch! It was seriously the best lol. The ocean was crystal clear and so beautiful. I finally got to see the sea turtles I’d been dreaming of, and I was so excited! The free camera rental was a total godsend. It was also a huge help that there was a proper place to change clothes~
