    I’d always dreamed of seeing the Jomon Sugi, and the sense of accomplishment when I finally reached it on my own two feet was incredible. Thanks to our professional guide, I was able to hike with peace of mind. The snack breaks along the way were a nice change of pace and really helped me conserve my energy. While the trail had some rugged sections, it was more than worth it.

    Since we were visiting Yakushima, choosing the private tour package was absolutely the right decision.     Even though I was traveling alone, I was able to enjoy myself without any reservations. The certified guide was very friendly and chatted with me, so I never felt lonely and was able to fully immerse myself in the journey to the Jomon Sugi. I’m usually nervous about long treks when traveling alone, but thanks to the guide’s explanations along the way and the delicious snacks, it was the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and feel completely refreshed.

    Before we left, I was constantly worried about whether I’d be able to keep up for the entire long trek, but since it was a private tour where we could choose our own route, even beginners like me were able to enjoy it without any trouble. I was soothed by the beauty of the moss-covered forest, and when I saw the breathtaking view from Taiko Rock, all my fatigue vanished. I’m so glad I took the plunge and joined this tour.     I’d say it offers good value for the price. It was appealing to have a female guide all to ourselves and be able to customize the route through Shiratani Unsuikyo to suit our preferences. The forest bath was very refreshing. However, if I had to mention one thing, there were a few spots in the forest where the footing was a bit uneven, so you should make sure to bring sturdy hiking shoes. Overall, I’m satisfied with the arrangements.
