    As this was my first trip to Yakushima, there were many places I wanted to see and visit, but I was able to visit them all in the two days I requested. I am glad that we requested this tour because not only that, but it also took us to other wonderful places that were not listed in the guidebooks. I was a little worried because I had an 8 year old child, but thanks to the kind female guide, I didn't have to worry about that anymore.     The time spent walking through the moss-covered forest was very pleasant, and I could concentrate only on the sounds of nature.     The tour started early in the morning, but thanks to the guide's careful pacing, we were able to proceed at a comfortable pace. As we approached the Jomon cedars, I felt a change in the air and realized that the cedars were even more powerful than in the pictures.
