Yakushima Charter Tour

I requested a private tour for my mother, who loves low mountain climbing, and my daughter, who is a beginner trekker. To be honest, I was worried about whether we would be able to make it to the Jomon cedars because of the heavy rain in the morning and whether we would be able to walk for 10 hours, but thanks to the guide who talked to us and set the pace for us, we were able to complete the trek without worry. The support was very encouraging. We learned a lot about the plants and history along the way, and the trek was a learning experience. The forest in the mist was very magical. On the way back, it was sunny and the forest looked so different that it was hard to believe that it was the same forest, and I felt like I could enjoy it twice. We also saw monkeys. The miso soup we had for lunch soaked into our tired bodies! I was quite tired at the end of the tour, but I felt a greater sense of accomplishment than that, and it was a very good memory. I am glad I asked for your help. Thank you very much.

At my request, my family of 68 years old husband, 60 years old me and 24 years old daughter joined the tour. We enjoyed the nature of Yakushima with a veteran guide. He guided us while taking care of our physical strength and feelings. My husband's stamina was questionable by the time we reached Wilson's stump, so my daughter and I turned around and headed for the Jomon Cedars with the guide. It had taken us a long time to get there, and we thought we might not be able to reach the cedars, but we were able to reach the cedars with the help of the guide, who adjusted our lunch time. I was very grateful and impressed.

As beginners in trekking, we were satisfied with the course selection, pacing, explanations, photo-taking, coffee at rest, etc. 120%. It was a half-day tour, but we felt like we had enjoyed all of Yakushima. Thank you for your willingness to accommodate our schedule change due to rain.

I was a bit apprehensive before joining the Jomon Cedar Course, but thanks to the guide's pacing, I was able to complete the course at a good pace. The guide knew the route very well. When I got tired in the second half, he told me how many minutes I had left to go to the goal, and I was able to keep going. I was able to enjoy the long trolley ride while talking with the guide. It was a good decision for me to leave my backpack at the end of the trolley to go to the Jomon Cedars. Thank you, guide, for carrying my lunch and water. Thank you, Nanasato-san, for your help (^^)

I participated in this tour as a family trip. We wanted to change the course at the last minute due to circumstances, but they were very flexible and accommodating via email and phone. I called the guide the day before and told him about our situation, and he was able to accommodate our request for meeting time and other details. From the entrance to the trekking, during the trekking, and on the way back, we were taught about the culture of Yakushima and the unique plants and creatures, and we were able to experience the life force of the forest firsthand. I will treasure the experience of being moved by the great nature with my whole family in my heart. Thanks to the soothing but reassuring guide, we were all able to enjoy the tour! The day after the tour, while waiting to check in for our flight home, we went to Cape Crystal after being given recommendations of spots near our hotel. The sunrise and horizon were amazing!

Even in a half-day tour, we were able to feel the charm of Yakushima. The Mononoke Forest was fantastic, with the weather changing the expression of the forest, the atmosphere, and the shades of fog. I chose a private tour with a guide because I am a slow walker, but my wife and I were able to walk at our own pace without worrying about others. We had a lot of interesting stories to listen to at each stop, and the hot miso soup we had at the hut was fantastic. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.
