(1) Fureai no Diai 0.8 km (30 min.)
It is the easiest route and has a well-maintained walking trail. This is an easy route to enjoy Yakusugi cedars such as "Kuguritsuga" and "Sennen-sugi".

(2) Forest of Ancient Times 1.2 km (50 min)
This route allows you to extend your walk from the 30-minute course to "Butsudasugi" (cedar trees). The route is mainly on a promenade, making it easy to walk and allowing you to experience nature in a short time.

(3) Tsutsuji riverbank 2.0 km (80 min.)
The view of the mountain stream from the Tsutsuji Riverbank and Sawazu Bridge is a popular photo spot. Although there are some ups and downs, you can take your time to enjoy the quiet and profound scenery of Yakushima.
Suitable for beginner to intermediate level trekkers who want to trek quietly and carefully.

(4) Yakushigunomori 3.0 km (150 min.)
This is a course where you can see most of the big trees with names and personalities typical of Yakusugi. There are steep and muddy slopes, so be well equipped!

5) Astronomical Forest 4.4 km (210 min.)

Directions to Yakusugiland
If you are going by rental car
Yakusugiland is,Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes by car from Miyanoura Port, 50 minutes from Awa PortIt is.
Follow Route 77 south along the coastline, and when you see the Harumaki Simple Post Office, turn right at the intersection onto Prefectural Route 592 and follow the road.
Free parking (40 cars) at the entrance.
By bus (from Awa)
Buses operated by Yakushima Kotsu are available from Awa in Yakushima to Yakusugiland. The buses are labeled "to Kigensugi" or "to Yakusugiland.
A one-day pass (adult: 2,000 yen, child: 1,000 yen) for the "Yakushima Yakushima Yuttari Sankaku Pass" is convenient. (as of April 2025).

How to enjoy Yakusugiland
To enjoy Yaksgiriland to the fullest, we recommend joining a tour! Guided tours are available, so even beginner climbers can enjoy the area safely.
Trekking at Jomon Cedars and Shiratani-unsuikyo requires plenty of time from early morning to late afternoon, but Yakusugiland can be fully enjoyed in half a day.
