The trails are easy enough for kids to walk on, and I felt completely refreshed surrounded by nature. If you want to capture beautiful photos on Yakushima, this tour is an absolute must!
The arrangements went smoothly. The private trekking tour at Yakusugi Land was comfortable because we could walk at our own pace. We were able to easily enjoy the mystical forest. If I had to nitpick, it would have been perfect if the landmark at the meeting spot had been a little easier to spot.
I took a tour with my child from Yakusugi Land to see the Kigen-sugi cedar. My child’s eyes sparkled with delight at the sight of Yakushima’s majestic forests and the massive Yakusugi cedars. As a parent, I felt reassured that the trail was easy to walk. However, it did feel a bit chilly in the forest at times, so I think it would have been perfect if we’d been advised in advance to bring a jacket.
Going trekking at Yakusugi Land was definitely the right choice. The ancient cedars were incredibly impressive, and walking through the forest really got me excited. However, the ground was a little slippery, so it would have been perfect if they’d offered shoe rentals.
It was great to be able to enjoy both the forest and kayaking. Since we had the tour all to ourselves, they were able to accommodate our schedule flexibly. There was no hassle with transportation, and everything went smoothly. If I had to say one thing, it was a little tiring, but it was good exercise.
I highly recommend the trek at Yakusugi Land!
