Awa River Kayak Tour

I was so refreshed by the luxury of leisurely kayaking on the calm surface of the Awa River. The silence of nature was soothing, but the wind became a little stronger in the latter half of the tour, and it took a little energy to paddle, so I will give it 4 stars.

I was really satisfied with this tour and would definitely repeat it if I have a chance to come to Yakushima again! On the day of the tour, the weather was forecast to break in the afternoon, but the guide was very considerate and changed the tour to the morning so that we could have a great time without being rained on. The guide's flexibility to adapt to the situation made us feel at ease, as only a veteran guide can do. We brought our two small children with us, but the guide was very experienced in dealing with children, and I was more than happy that the whole family was able to enjoy the tour together in peace. Both adults and children were very interested in the tour, as the guide talked in detail about the formation of plants and geological strata in a way that even beginners could easily understand. The photos taken with the 360-degree camera during the break were very interesting, and we could not have taken them by ourselves, so it was a great souvenir! The power of the trees as you look up from the kayak is truly impressive. It is a wonderful store with lots of hospitality and I heartily recommend it to families and first-timers!

It was a wonderful kayaking experience looking up the majestic nature of Yakushima from the river. I was a beginner, but the instructor's guidance was precise and I was able to enjoy the experience without worries. It was a nice and relaxing time.

I think the cost performance is good. It was nice to kayak leisurely through the wilderness of the Awa River. However, it was a pity that the weather was a little cloudy.

The forest and river set was the right choice! The mysterious atmosphere of the mossy forest and the exhilarating experience of river kayaking made for a well-balanced activity. The lunch was also delicious.

We were 2 adults, 1 elementary school student, and 1 senior. The trekkers cheerfully walked through a detour route because a bridge on the way was under construction. It was raining and sunny, so we were lucky to have rainwear. It was the first time for me to try river kayaking, but I had a lot of fun while having a lot of fun with the kayaking. On the way back, we didn't paddle at all and just floated along with the current of the river, taking it easy and enjoying the nature. I think I would have felt safer if I had listened more while proceeding. The pick up and drop off was convenient and generally an enjoyable experience.
