Awa River Kayak Tour

The forest and river set was the right choice! The mysterious atmosphere of the mossy forest and the exhilarating experience of river kayaking made for a well-balanced activity. The lunch was also delicious.

We were 2 adults, 1 elementary school student, and 1 senior. The trekkers cheerfully walked through a detour route because a bridge on the way was under construction. It was raining and sunny, so we were lucky to have rainwear. It was the first time for me to try river kayaking, but I had a lot of fun while having a lot of fun with the kayaking. On the way back, we didn't paddle at all and just floated along with the current of the river, taking it easy and enjoying the nature. I think I would have felt safer if I had listened more while proceeding. The pick up and drop off was convenient and generally an enjoyable experience.

After a moderate walk in Shiratani-unsui Gorge in the morning while being healed by the green moss and the sound of the mountain stream, I spent the afternoon floating on the clear Awa River in a kayak surrounded by forest greenery under a blue sky, which was a precious experience to be surrounded by the nature of Yakushima, which is far beyond my imagination. I was alone, but the guide and other participants treated me warmly.

Three generations of my family participated in this tour, and everyone was very satisfied! Even beginners were able to enjoy the calm river and forest scenery while being healed by the scenery♪ The experience was full of smiles with my children in the two-person kayak, and it was a day to remember!

My parents enjoyed it very much. The gentle flow of the river and the beautiful scenery were soothing.

I never thought kayaking could be so much fun! It was a great way to spend time in the great outdoors.
