Yakushima Sea Turtle Tour

It had been decades since I’d last swum, so I was really nervous going into this, but they lent me equipment that was very well-maintained, and with the support of a kind and knowledgeable veteran guide, I was able to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. However… unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any sea turtles. Since it’s part of nature, I guess these things happen. Still, there were plenty of fish—they were colorful and beautiful.

It was my first time snorkeling! From the initial booking process to the transportation, everything was handled with great care, and I had a wonderful time. I’d heard that visibility isn’t usually great at this time of day, but to me, the ocean was absolutely stunning. I saw so many fish—it was amazing to swim alongside the beautiful ones you usually see at an aquarium. I even got to see a sea turtle! ☆☆☆

Since it was my first time snorkeling, I was a little nervous, but thanks to the thorough pre-dive briefing that covered all the key points, I was able to enjoy the underwater world without any worries. I saw schools of sparkling silversides and fish swimming as they cutely fluttered their fins. And I was especially moved by how adorable the sea turtles were. I definitely want to do this again.

River kayaking and snorkeling are absolutely amazing!! Spending a whole day playing in nature had me totally hyped!!! I got to enjoy both the beautiful river and the ocean, and I even got to see a sea turtle—I was so excited!!! You can rent an underwater digital camera for free, so you should definitely go!!

Everything went smoothly. It was a very well-organized introductory diving experience, and I was able to encounter a sea turtle, so I was extremely satisfied. The free photo service was also a big help. However, the shower time felt a little short, so if that could be improved, it would be perfect.

It was my first time diving, and I was really nervous before we left, wondering if I’d be able to do it, but thanks to the instructor who stayed by my side the whole time and taught me so patiently, I was able to enjoy it to the fullest. I was truly moved to actually see the sea turtles—which I’d heard we were very likely to encounter. If I had to mention one thing, I did get a little seasick, so it would have been perfect if they’d offered information on motion sickness medication.
