Yakushima - Environmental and Cultural Village Center
What is the Environmental Cultural Village Center?
The Environmental Culture Village Center is located near the Miyanoura Port Ferry Terminal and is a cultural center where you can learn a lot about Oku Island.
The museum will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the exhibition hall will be open until 4:30 pm.
Admission is 520 yen for adults, 360 yen for high school and university students, and 260 yen for elementary and junior high school students.
Holidays are Mondays and New Year's holidays.
On a large screen, Yakushima - Symphony of Forest and Water is shown eight times a day, allowing visitors to learn about Oku Island through the eyes and images.
In the exhibition hall, the nature and creatures of Oku Island are displayed in the atrium.
At the Okushima Shop in the product exhibition, visitors can purchase souvenirs and mementos from Okushima.
This Okushima store seems to have most of the souvenirs of Okushima. There is also a coffee shop corner where you can rest while enjoying a view of Miyanoura Port.
