The bench of the Jomon cedar is a whopping 16.4 meters high, and even the Wilson cedar is 13.8 meters high.
The size of this bench will definitely make you want to visit Shiratani Unsui Gorge to see the Yakusugi cedars.
The parking lot and restrooms are fully equipped, so this is a good rest stop for those driving with a rental car.
The view of the ocean from here is spectacular, so it is recommended to stop by for a rest.
How to get to Fureai Park Yakushima
Fureai Park Yakushima is located about 12 minutes by car from Miyanoura Port.
After exiting Miyanoura Port, follow Route 77 along the road with the ocean on your left.
