I participated in a Jomon Sugi trekking tour on Yakushima. Since it was a completely private tour, the guide provided very thorough explanations, and I was able to learn a great deal about the forest ecosystem. Although it was a long hike, I’m grateful that the guide adjusted the pace to match my fitness level. The transportation arrangements were also seamless, and it turned out to be a very fulfilling day.

I think it offers good value for the price. I really appreciate that it’s a private tour, allowing us to hike to the Jomon Sugi at our own pace, and that transportation to and from the site is included. The guide was also very knowledgeable. However, if I had to mention one thing, since it’s a long hike, I think everyone should make sure to bring well-worn hiking shoes and rain gear. Overall, I’m satisfied with the support provided.

The sight of the Jomon Sugi, with its overwhelming presence, truly cleansed my soul. I was deeply healed by the sense of accomplishment after walking the long trail and by the atmosphere of the forest enveloped in silence… Thanks to having the place all to ourselves, it was a wonderful, unforgettable experience where I could blend into the great nature of Yakushima without worrying about others around me. The transportation to and from the site was also comfortable and pleasant. .

I was really moved to see the Jomon cedars that I had longed to see! We were able to walk in peace because it was a private party, and I felt empowered by its overwhelming presence! It was the best memory I've ever had!
