This popular activity plan allows you to enjoy both the forests and rivers of Yakushima in one day.

In the morning, go trekking in Shiratani-unsui Gorge or Yakusugiland, feeling the nature of mossy forests and Yakusugi cedars. In the afternoon, we will move to the Awa River for a relaxing kayak tour through the clear, transparent water.

personal effects

◎Required: Shoes that can walk in the mountain (trekking shoes or sneakers with non-slip soles), rain wear (top and bottom separates), backpack (about 25L), packed lunch (one-day tour only), drink (about 500ml plastic bottle is acceptable; you can fetch water from the stream to drink)
Clothing that can get wet (swimwear is recommended for undergarments), a change of clothes (there are no showers, but changing rooms are available), and sun protection items (hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.)
◎Optional: Walking sticks, gloves (work gloves), folding umbrella, snacks, sandals (we can also provide adult-sized sandals), rain gear (a must-have if you don’t want to get wet; it can also serve as a layer against the cold), and water play gear such as snorkels and goggles
