Trekking tour to "Miyanoura-dake", the highest peak in Kyushu

Miyanoura-dake is located in the center of YakushimaThe highest mountain in KyushuIt is. Let's start walking from the Yodo River trailhead, pass through the clear stream "Yodo River" of Yakushima, "Tofu Iwa", the marshlands of the Kobanoe River and the Hananoe River, and aim for the summit while crossing rocky areas and mountains☆.

The view from the top overlooking the surrounding mountains is truly spectacular. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Kyushu mainland and Tanegashima Island, and a panoramic view awaits you at the top.

Let's see "Rhododendron", an endemic species of Yakushima!

Rhododendron is an endemic flower of Yakushima (selected as the flower of Yakushima Town).

The best time to see them is around the end of May. The pale red and white colors of the mountainsides are one of the highlights of Miyanoura-dake.

Miyanoura-dake" attracts many climbers.

Miyanoura-dake" is popular among repeat visitors for its unique view of Yakushima, and we invite you to see the 360-degree "Western Alps" from the top.

Along the way, you will see many interesting sights, including "Tofu Rock," named for its resemblance to three heads of tofu.â- The strange rocks and high marshes will never bore you.â

Regarding breakfast and lunch

We cannot prepare boxed lunches. We also do not order box lunches on behalf of our customers.

There is not a single convenience store on Yakushima, so please make sure to prepare your own food either by ordering it in advance from your accommodation or by getting it yourself at a supermarket the day before.

Customers ordering from a bento shop should make their own reservations at "Asahi Bento; 0997-46-4007; reservations can be made until 9:00 p.m. the day before the tour. Other bento shops are not on the way, so the guide will be with you on the way to and from the shops.You cannot stop by.(Please order at the same time as the pick-up time! (Please order your lunch box pick-up time at the same time as the pick-up time. Pick-up and drop-off times will be provided 2 days prior to the tour.)

Trekking equipment rental

Rainwear, trekking shoes, and a sack/pack cover are required for this trekking tour.

There are rental stores on Yakushima for the above equipment. Please rent the equipment by the day before the trip.

Cancellation fee for this plan 》

If a reservation is cancelled by the customer after it has been confirmed, the following cancellation fees will apply

～Up to 6:00 p.m. 4 days prior to the event: None
After 6:00 p.m. 4 days prior to the event until 6:00 p.m. 2 days prior to the event: 50% of all fees
After 6:00 p.m. 2 days prior to the event to the day of the event: 100% of the full price

*However, no cancellation fee will be charged if the tour is deemed impossible by the guide in charge due to adverse weather conditions such as typhoons.

*Please inform us in advance at the time of application if you have a medical history that should be noted, if you have undergone major surgery in the past, or if you have a physical disability. Cardiovascular disease patients require a doctor's consent. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate for safety reasons.

*The tour may be cancelled, the course may be changed, or the tour time may be shortened at the discretion of the guide due to inclement weather on the day of the tour. If the tour is cancelled before departure on the day of the tour, a full refund will be given, but if the course is changed after departure, the tour fee will not be refunded.

*In the event that we determine that the tour cannot be conducted safely due to a guest's physical condition, physical fitness, or inadequate clothing or equipment, or that the tour would be detrimental to other guests, we may ask the guest to withdraw from the tour, even on the day of the tour. In such cases, the tour fee will not be refunded. (Please be especially careful with your trekking equipment.)
